CW1-Crime Drama Although there are some spelling and grammatical errors, this commentary shows a good understanding of the topic and also good research skills there is some discussion of institutions and awareness to the genre. The script follows the form and conventions of the genre and is written in colloquial language fitting to the setting. Shows some good techniques with photoshop and understands the form and conventions of the genre. Uses own images to enhance the production.

CW2- Film Noir Shorter commentary that discusses the features of film noir as well as put it into context. Some representation analysis could have been useful here. Poster has some of the features of a film poster. The photography is good and there is evidence of some good technical skills. The storyboard has lots of good instruction.

CW3-Comics Looks at the history of comics. As comic hero is called Afrowoman would have expected some discussion on representation .Commentary lacks depth and is too short. Interesting design and good idea for comic cover. Afrowoman follows all the conventions of the genre and is recognisable as a comic cover. The story board double page spread is less realised, but shows understanding.

CW4- Practical Production Good account of the process of making the video. Mostly anecdotal but does show an awareness of the changes made and the techniques need to produce the artefact. Some discussion on representation and audience would have helped the grade. Fully realised video that follows a narrative. Some good camerawork, and some thought has gone into the different shots. There has been an attempt at editing and some thought as to how to tell the narrative. Good shot with the apple. More planning needed.
